The first meeting of the newly elected Omani Cinema Association Board for the term 2024-2025 was held at the association’s headquarters following the victory of 12 members in the association’s general elections. They were elected after competition among 18 members who ran for the association’s management for the next term.
The members of the Omani Cinema Association Board are as follows:
- Mohammed Al-Ajmi – Chairman of the Board
- Anwar Al-Ruzaiqi – Vice Chairman
- Saeed Al-Wahibi – Secretary
- Dr. Hamid Al-Amri – Treasurer
- Mohammed Al-Kindi – Member
- Sulaiman Al-Khalili – Member
- Fahd Al-Maimani – Member
- Dr. Rashid Al-Yaafai – Member
- Qaisar Al-Hanai – Member
- Dr. Janan Al Issa – Member
- Abdullah Al-Raisi – Member
- Dalal Al-Darai – Member
At the beginning of the meeting, Director Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ajmi, Chairman of the Omani Cinema Association Board, welcomed the members of the board and congratulated them on gaining the confidence of the general assembly to manage the association for the next phase. He emphasized the importance of exerting more effort and continuity in order to serve the nation, the association’s members, and to preserve the achievements that have been accomplished by previous management councils.
The board of the association emphasizes that this work is a commitment and responsibility entrusted to them to move forward towards achieving the goals of the association, empowering filmmakers, and continuing to work on enhancing the Omani cinematic movement in all local and international fields. These goals cannot be achieved except through the collaboration of everyone, exchanging opinions, and benefiting from all experiences and expertise.
