“Makkah halal forum” concludes its first edition in Makkah

The “Mecca halal forum” concluded its first edition today (Thursday), which was held over three days at the Makkah Chamber of exhibitions and Events Center, under the patronage of Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, amid the presence and participation of more than 120 countries, and representatives of Chambers of Commerce from several Islamic and international countries.

During its three days, the forum included the holding of more than 10 discussion sessions and 250 meetings, during which a number of topics related to the halal industry were discussed, most notably the analysis of demographic and behavioral shifts in the market and how to target new segments that arise from those shifts, in addition to innovative marketing strategies for targeting, and how to use technology and innovation to reach new segments of customers and meet their changing needs. The sessions also discussed data analysis and artificial intelligence in targeting new segments and reviewed how to use data analysis and artificial intelligence to understand the reality of the halal market and its variables.

The forum witnessed, among its activities, the signing of six bilateral and multilateral agreements, including the signing of a number of agreements between halal products development company, which was represented by Mr. Fahad Al-nahih, CEO of the company, and a number of related parties.

During his speech at the opening ceremony,  the minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, praised the establishment of such a forum, as it brings together the most influential experts and specialists in the halal industry, both in the government and private sectors, praising the role of the forum in opening horizons for creativity, innovation and competitiveness of products and services in the halal industry, while For his part,  Mr. Abdullah Saleh Kamel, chairman of the board of Directors of the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and president of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, stressed the role of the “Makkah halal Forum” in supporting the halal market and creating a platform that brings together all Islamic countries, in addition to opening channels of communication between various interested and producers in this important sector.

It is noteworthy that the Mecca halal Forum, which was held during January 23-25, 2024 under the auspices of  Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, came to organize the services of the Islamic Halal Chamber (ICHS) and benefits, with the support of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, the Chamber of Commerce in Madinah, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and quality organization, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and agriculture, and the Chamber of Commerce in Mecca, Jeddah and Taif.
